  • How do leds compare to conventional bulbs in length of use?

  • What is the typical battery lifetime with the leds as opposed to a regular C or D with a bulb
Our testing revealed that two brand new alkaline AA batteries in a small flashlight with a bulb will last about 2 hours and 15 minutes with a progressional degredation in light output until no light is available. The same test using one led and the same two 1.5V alkaline button cells went approximately six days of continuous use before the led was too dim to be of any effect.

  • How do I change the button cells?
The selector (on/off) switch needs to be removed to get to the batteries. First you need to line up the white dots (one on the switch and the other on the body) and then pull the switch off directly, after it's removed, the batteries should come out easily. Then replace the selector switch by lining up the white dots and pushing back on. Note: negative side of batteries go in first.

  • If I drop my LoupeLite360 in water, will this break it?
Your LoupeLite360 is an electronic device, and as with most electronic devices, water can seriously damage the components. If this happens, your warranty would be void, however we do not anticipate that it would break your LoupeLite360. We suggest that you sufficiently air it out for a couple of hours with the batteries removed and reassemble with new batteries.

It is quite possible that it may. If you have other powers of loupes and want to use the housing off your 10x,15x or 20x LoupeLite360 to light them up, we suggest that you try them. If they do not work, you might try others or just acquire the LoupeLite360(s) that we have available.
